Abstract :
Video coding performance relies on the coding parameters setting, yet at present there is lack of a quantitative description about how coding parameters and the interrelationship between the parameters affect the coding performance. So, this paper chooses some key parameters for H.264 standard, then defines rate-distortion cost function J as the measure of performance, analyses different combinations of these coding parameters, and determines how the combinations affect the coding performance by the method of fuzzy measure. The test result shows that Quantitative Parameter (QP) has the greatest influences on coding performance among these parameters.
