Abstract
The huge set of different UHF-RFID applications, from parking access control to item level tagging within the supply chain management necessitates a wide range of different tag antenna designs tailored to the specific usage. An essential issue for an optimal tag antenna design is to enable the matching between the transponder IC and the antenna structure. The intention of this paper lies in the reduction of the computational costs for finding suitable tag antenna designs by means of equivalent circuit descriptions of tag antenna structures utilizing inductively coupled feeding structures.
