  • Abstract
In this paper we present and analyze four dynamic wavelength allocation scenarios in a hybrid Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Passive Optical Network (PON). For each scenario we propose new teletraffic loss models for the calculation of call-level performance measures, such as connection failure probabilities (due to the unavailability of a wavelength) and call blocking probabilities (due to the restricted bandwidth of the wavelength) The PON accommodates independent service-classes of ON-OFF type and of finite traffic source population. The accuracy of the proposed models is validated through simulation and is found to be quite satisfactory.
