Abstract
This paper examines the texture properties of different materials in labelling robots. Experimental approach is used to obtain results on a set of different material surfaces. In this work, three types of materials were used to verify their texture properties namely paper, Jelutong (wood) and cotton. After that, Tamura texture algorithm is proposed to measure the texture features on these selected materials. Our experiments show that contrast feature plays important role in identifying robot efficiently.
