  • Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for breast surgery simulation using finite elements. The models are built from mammographic images. We discuss all the steps needed to generate the breast finite elements model, which are: image segmentation, surface mesh extraction, volumetric mesh generation, tissue materials definition, tissue removal and suture. Results show a visually good outcome of the procedures simulated.
