Abstract :
The main motivation of this paper is to provide a detailed analysis of an important aspect in wireless sensor networks (WSN) - the node´s failure. We focus on three scenarios of the node failures and their effect on the average consensus algorithm implemented on a WSN. Gained results show a clear connection between the network connectivity and the effect of the node´s failure. The paper contains also recommendations how to deal with or at least reduce the effect of the node´s failure.
