Abstract
This paper describes a system that enables recognition of road signs from image sequences previously obtained from a vehicle equipped with a variety of sensors. The first step uses colour and shape analysis to determine the regions of the image where potential road signs may be located. The second step uses a geometric model finder to recognize and classify the type of sign.
