Abstract :
Coherent encoding with ultra-short laser is a kind of promising advanced OCDMA system scheme. gain switched laser´s feasibility for the advanced OCDMA system is analyzed experimentally. A novel scheme that can integrate laser source and data modulation is proposed. The performance and fabrication technics of TPS-SSFBG and EPS-SSFBG are analyzed and compared in detail. The EPS technology is promising to provide the core component for the future practical OCDMA system.
