Abstract :
In this paper, a simple method for depth map acquisition based on light attenuation is proposed which could deal with indoor photos taken under the situation of single fixed light source. Considering the prior indoor albedo characters, the indoor albedo could be estimated. Then the depth map of the indoor photos could be evaluated by calculating the light attenuation. The experimental results on factual indoor photos verified the feasibility of the proposed depth map generation method.
