Abstract
The problem of designing functional observers for linear impulsive systems is addressed. By applying suitable matrix transformations, sufficient conditions for the existence of the functional observers that are capable of exponentially estimating any given function of the state vector are derived. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
