Abstract
The Continuous stirred-tank reactor (CSTR) is a common ideal reactor type in chemical engineering. In CSTR systems, directly measuring the chemical concentrations may be neither practical nor feasible due to operating conditions and economic factor. In this paper, a concentration estimation strategy based on Kalman filter is proposed, with which the concentrations are estimated from the temperatures measurements. At last, simulation results of the state feedback control method based on the Kalman estimator are given.
