Abstract :
Target tracking with wireless sensor networks is a challenging problem because of sensor nodes´ limited energy. Thus, deployment of sensor nodes must focus on power conservation. It is possible to keep power by sensor scheduling algorithm during target tracking. Sensor scheduling algorithm target tracking-oriented based on Particle Swarm Optimization is proposed in this paper. When a target move to the sensing filed, cluster heads are selected first, then CHs invite their neighboring sensors to form a cluster. Cluster formulation is optimized by Particle Swarm Optimization. Utilizing cluster technology can make good use of each sensor nodes´ limited energy and perform tasks coordinately.
