Abstract
A kind of matrix converter based direct torque control of permanent magnet synchronous motor is proposed. Firstly, output phase voltage and input line current space vectors of matrix converter are analyzed in details, which determines 21 switch states of matrix converter practicable for direct torque control. Secondly, theory of direct torque control of permanent magnet synchronous motor is reviewed. By outputs of relay comparators of torque and stator flux, and section of stator flux, the most suitable voltage space vector from VSI is selected. Switch table of conventional direct torque control is deduced. In order to keep input power factor equal with 1, sine value of displacement between input phase voltage vector and input line current vector is used as the third variable. Relay comparator of power factor is set up. Switch state table for direct torque control based on matrix converter is brought out. Finally, simulating model of the proposed system is built up. Simulating results show the proposed system is feasible, and has better static and dynamic performance.
