Abstract :
The configuration and working principle of a kind of three-phase 6/4 poles switched reluctance motor (SRM) are introduced in this paper. The mathematics models of the three-phase 6/4 poles SRM are deduced. The methods of parameter design and calculation of the three-phase 6/4 poles SRM are presented in detail. According to the methods of parameter design, correlation parameters of a kind of 3kW three-phase 6/4 poles SRM are given. Based on the design parameters, an experiment prototype of the 3kW three-phase 6/4 poles SRM has designed with finite element method (FEM). The torque-angle characteristic and the magnetic flux path structure of this three-phase 6/4 poles SRM are analyzed by using a FEM software (Maxwell 2D of ANSOFT). The simulation and test results have shown that the correctness of the working principle and the methods of parameter design are verified.
