Abstract :
Molybdenum nanowall arrays have been grown on varied substrates by thermal vapor deposition. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy study show that nanowall has attractive structure features such as sharp edges, in-plane continuity of wall structure, large spacing of neighboring walls, and better adhesion. The field emission measurements from Mo nanowall arrays exhibit the properties with higher emission current density and stability. The current density of 57.5 mA/cm2 and the current over 3.06 mA were recorded, and the current fluctuation of ±1.14% was observed when the current density is 10mA/cm2.
