Abstract :
A gold-tip cathode array for plasmon-assisted field emitter array is designed, developed and demonstrated. A fused-silica glass is used as an optically-transparent substrate with chemical sharpening by buffered hydrofluoric acid. Field emission from this emitter was demonstrated.
