Abstract :
Accurate measurement of CPU core´s temperature is the important precondition for optimizing the work of on-chip power/thermal management. For traditional thermal diode sensor and digital thermal sensors, there are defects in accuracy and sensitivity. On the basis of theoretical analysis of thermal effect of transistor collector current, a kind of high sensitive in-CPU-chip thermal transistor sensor is proposed. And, on the basis of theoretical analysis of temperature field and hotspots in CPU chip, a kind of high accurate in-CPU-chip thermal sensors layout is proposed.
