Abstract :
Wavelength converters based on quasi-phase-matched cascaded second-order nonlinear effects in lithium niobate waveguides, using novel techniques of pump detuning with uniform gratings and fixed pumps with step-chirped gratings, are investigated. New experimental results are reported.
