  • Abstract
    The Cr-doped fibers (CDFs) were successfully fabricated employing drawing-tower technique with non-silica powder-in-tube (PIT) design. The far field pattern (FFP), transmission loss, and fluorescence intensity are measured and discussed in this paper. The achievement in CDFs may make it possible to be developed as a broadband fiber amplifier and light source.
