  • Abstract
    An in-line tunable Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) based on cascaded micro-ridge long-period fiber gratings (MRLPFGs) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The transmission characteristics of the MZI based on cascaded MRLPFGs can be controlled by applying external strain and torsion.
