Abstract :
This paper analyzes the negative effects produced by current Chinese university faculty´s performance assessment. It puts forward that the performance assessment mechanism of Chinese university must not only focus on people orientation and value orientation of faculty´s development, but also strengthen faculty´s initiative and participatory in performance evaluation and integrate the qualitative evaluation into quantitative evaluation.
