Abstract
Successful knowledge management (KM) represents a crucial challenge in every aspect of business - from R&D to marketing and sales. Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) constitute a unique case in this matter. Efficient information gathering, storage and retrieval coupled with effective inter-organizational communication allows SMEs to streamline their processes, reduce costs and time, improve productivity and even win new business opportunities more effectively. Among the content and knowledge management solutions offered, few are specifically targeted at the needs of SMEs. This case study illustrates how LTC´s pioneering approach concretely contributed to the improvement of cooperation and information flow between departments and across the company as a whole. Expertise in collaborative innovation and the help of cutting-edge technology led to a solution that has the potential to help overcome KM challenges of SMEs across most industry sectors.
