Equipment maintenance support is the most important influencing factor which affects weapon battle ability. Equipment maintenance support capability evaluation result can be used as steering for equipment maintenance blue print configuration. Based on analysis of equipment maintenance support, maintenance evaluation guide line is discussed in paper. Then neural network-based equipment maintenance support evaluation model is established. BP dynamic neural network is applied in constructing model and the amelioration weight reset arithmetic is imported in equipment maintenance support evaluation model. According to evaluation arithmetic, equipment maintenance support evaluation center computes evaluation result. Weapon equipment development department and army can optimize maintenance support scheme based on evaluation result and maintain equipment. At last service-oriented software development method is used to develop neural network-based equipment maintenance expert system. Decision-makers can establish rational maintenance scenario according to evaluation result and arrange maintenance tasks.
