Abstract :
An algorithm of frequency estimation for sinusoidal signal with random length corrupted by additive Gaussian noise was proposed. Firstly, The frequency of truncated series was estimated through FFT and was considered a coarse reference frequency. Secondly, three DFT coefficients near the coarse frequency were calculated and the largest magnitude was determined. Interpolation on Fourier coefficients on the basis of frequency estimate corresponding to the largest magnitude was performed to get the final frequency estimate. Computer simulation results demonstrated that the performance of proposed algorithm attains to Cramer-Rao bound of sinusoid.
