A face and eye detection based feedback system for smart classroom

This paper presents a novel auto feedback system used in smart classroom based on face and eye detection technology and PTZ camera. The system is used to address the issue of students´ inattentiveness occurred in learning procedure by sending them instant feedback. In this paper, we use a PTZ camera for students´ images gathering, locating each student using face detection technique, detecting learning status though eye detection technique, and then sending instant feedback though Wi-Fi environment. The main contribution of our research is combining face and eye detection technology into smart classroom environment to provide an approach to remind students when they are distracted and let teacher focus on teaching.
