Abstract :
This paper proposes a new 3D reconstruction method of metal parts based on depth from focus. A manipulator was designed to carry the visual system. By controlling the camera to move and capture focus image sequences. The 3D shape of the work piece was retrieved. Experimental results shows high efficiency good application prospects for on-machine measurement in the manufacturing workshop.
