Abstract :
The pressure-sinkage model of seabed soft sediments is very important to design the track of the seabed nodule collector and improve its traction performance The 400 mesh bentonite is selected as the preparation material of the seabed soft sediments according to the physical mechanics characters of the seabed soft sediments and simulated the seabed soft sediments in the lab with demixion preparation method. The pressure-sinkage test with six rectangle plates is completed in the soil bin. The test result shows that the bearing pressure of the simulated increases in "S"curve with the settlement in the whole test depth of 0 to 30 cm. The founded exponent pressure-sinkage model of the sediments at the depth of 0 to 17.5 cm is based on its physical mechanics characters and the dimension constant of the plates. In the exponent model, the mechanics characters and the dimension constant can be obtained by pressure-sinkage test with at least two rectangle plates.
