Abstract :
To improve the quality of switches for network service, as a new method of improved concurrent processing strategy, Half Step Forward Switching Technology (HSFST) is presented in this paper. By optimizing the processing of virtual circuit switching nodes and changing the phases of connect of the traditional virtual circuit switching technology, HSFST makes the received data frames directly switched to proper output ports without looking up for the information in switch table because the information are encapsulated in frames at the former switches. So the operation of looking up for the information about next hop and the other operation can be processed simultaneously. The experimental results show that this technique diminishes the switching delay and smoothes the delay jitter.
