  • Abstract
This paper carries out a detailed research on the application performance and the polygon effect of chain transmission. This paper mainly adopts the following methods to realize the compensation of polygon effect: by use of variable pitch roller chains, the chain centerline is kept at the minimum intercross position with the sprocket pitch circle. Thus, the polygon effect of chain transmission under constraints is effectively improved, and the transverse vibration of the chain centerline during the transmission process has been weakened and eased.
