  • Abstract
    For the development of Chinese vegetable planting, a vegetable transplanter was designed with functions of trenching, sending seedlings into the ditch, righting, backfilling, compaction and other processes by replacement parts of the paddy field transplanter in the meantime. Key component transplanting mechanism mainly uses a crank-rocker mechanism and pushing seedling cam mechanism. Geometric locus and attitude of transplanting were optimized by studying the crank-rocker mechanism and the cam motion characteristics to meet the agronomic requirements of transplanting vegetables. The field experiment and measurement showed that that it was consistent with the industry standard of dry planting with stable performance, and the reliability is 95%. Study and application of this technology have important practical significance and long-term strategic meaning.
