Abstract :
The cogging torque causes vibration and noise of PM motors, heavily affects the precision of torque. This paper elementary studied the effect of discerption of surface PM pole on cogging torque, based on studying classical formula of cogging torque, the analytic formula of effect of discerption of surface PM motors pole on cogging torque is deduced. By the result of FEM analysis, correctness of this analytic formula is testified.
