Abstract :
This article raised an efficient method of 3D road automatic generation. The generation will adopt Cubic Hermite interpolation algorithm and improved Bilateral algorithm to create road grid when road curves are done by the method. After sticking road grid to terrain and doing the LOD optimization, it can produce 3D road. This method can make designing and achieve virtual city scene conveniently, raise the work efficiency.
