Abstract :
Hydrogen is believed to have the potential for becoming the second source of energy after electricity. Although research is growing to produce hydrogen economically, it is evident that hydrogen is still considered as a waste for some other chemical processes. In this study, the generated hydrogen amount from a real time desalination process will be calculated and then, the possible uses of such generated hydrogen will be investigated. Our research will inspect the benefits of generating electricity using fuel cells to work as UPS, or to add more real power to the grid, or to be used as a source for the electrolysis process. Moreover, the research study will examine the option of utilizing the exhausted hydrogen for other uses such as cooling the generators. Eventually, the question of how much value does the use of wasted hydrogen add to the whole process will be discussed.
