Abstract :
In this paper, we presented a new method to make Kungfu animation by combining emerging technologies - video-based capture technology - with the Kungfu animation. In this method, we extract the main outline of Kungfu role from the data captured on the video through the “Edge Detection Technique”, predict the following data by Kalman filter, and then obtained the motion data via comparison. Finally, by applying the motion data to the animated character to be expressed, we will get the new Kungfu animation which can be displayed with the same movement of the original one but in a different character.
