Abstract :
In order to help designers to find the need improved objects correctly during product design, a product improving design frame based on TRIZ/VE is presented. This frame is based on product function analysis model which is built according to product components´ interrelationship. And it integrates TRIZ ideal final result (IFR) concept with Value Engineering to calculate and evaluate function value resulting in discovering the problems components with lower value for improving. A practical example of hydraulic reciprocating piston rod seal system is provided to illustrate the validation of the model.
