Abstract
The missile launcher of the carrier-based fighter, which directly affects the completion of a launching mission, encounters crucial environmental adaptability problems like high temperature brought by the rocket flame and the marine climates, thus requires higher reliability while being compared to most other parts of the fighter. In this paper, the failure mode and mechanism of carrier-based fighter missile launcher caused by humidity, fungus and salt-fog were analyzed first, especially the corrosion problems. Three-proofing structural design and protection technologies were discussed as followed. Optimum material selection principles as well as some new detection measures were put forward at last.
