Abstract :
This paper is an attempt to do such a thing: for a scattering prism with square cross section, find out its basis functions by group transformation method according to the 2D symmetrical structure, and then solve the 2D scattering problem by Method of Moment (MoM). Compared with results of traditional MoM, this developed moment method has obvious advantage in reducing matrix´s order, saving computer storage and shorting calculation time. Moreover, it provides a new way to solve electromagnetic scattering problems of symmetrical boundaries.
