Abstract
In this paper, the unstirred component and stirred component of the electromagnetic field in the reverberation chamber are analyzed. The statistical characteristics of the field in the reverberation chamber is presented. We experimentally evaluated the influence of the antenna configuration on the unstirred component by measurement the S21 of the reverberation chamber. In order to reduce the unstirred component, the transmit antenna should orientate to the corner or the stirrer of the chamber and the distance between the transmit and the receive antenna should as large as possible.
