  • Abstract
CuO-doped Nd(Mg0.4Zn0.1Sn0.5)O3 ceramics prepared by the conventional solid-state method were investigated for application in monopole antenna loaded with high permittivity superstrate. A dielectric constant of 19.5, a quality factor (Q×f) of 18,600 GHz, and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) of -59.0 ppm/°C was obtained when 0.1 wt% CuO-doped Nd(Mg0.4Zn0.1Sn0.5)O3 ceramics sintered at 1450°C for 4h. A bandwidth (return loss <; 10 dB) of 18.6 % and a center frequency of 2.42 GHz was achieved for the proposed monopole antenna.
