Abstract :
Over the last decades has the research on Data Mining made a great progress. Also the Computerized Patient Records (CPR) as part of Hospital Information Systems have improved in terms of usability, content coverage, and diffusion rate. The number of Health Care Organizations using the CPR is growing. Causally determined is the need for techniques and models to provide solutions for decision making based on the data stored from different sources in CPR. This paper provides an overview on the current research trends and shows the impact on the medical domain with the CPR.
