Abstract
In this paper, an extended high frequency SPICE model of permanent magnet synchronous (PMS) motors in hybrid vehicles is presented. The model is valid in the radio frequency range from 100 kHz up to 500 MHz, a therefore most interesting for EMC engineers in automobile industry. Based on previous research on AC Motors also a general procedure determining the model parameters is introduced. This model is verified by comparison of simulation with measurement and applicable to the EMC analysis of electrical drive systems in hybrid vehicles within a wide frequency range.
