Abstract :
In this paper, the human exposure to ElectroMagnetic “EM” field using the Transmission Line “TL” model has been analyzed. The body is represented as a radial network of vertical and inclined multiconductor lines. The per unit length parameters are assessed by taking into account the dimensions and electrical properties of the human body and the soil parameters. The current distribution induced in the body is assessed for general case when human is not in a close contact with the ground. For this purpose, a linear equation system, through the EM field excitation is represented with equivalent current generators, arising from TL theory is obtained. Some illustrative computational examples are presented in the paper.
