Abstract :
This paper proposes a criterion for the qualification of mode-mixer geometries as used in a Mode Tuned Chamber test environment. The variability of S21 coefficients, as function of frequency and mixer orientation, of a two antenna system is related to the quality of the test environment. Experiments performed on a number of typical mixer shapes, show that the proposed criterion has practical value indeed.
