Abstract :
Multi-level product data visualization plays an important role for protecting the proprietary intellectual property and improving the collaborative efficiency in collaborative product development chain. Different with the common bottom-up quad mesh generation procedure, this paper develops a top-down approach for multi-level product data visualization. With the help of the generated multi-level quad meshes, the problem of how much of a product visible to viewing users is reduced to the task of which level quad mesh to select. An example is given to demonstrate the validity of this method.
