Abstract
A nonlinear integral equation of Hammerstein type arising in the so called modified phase problem is considered. Solutions of the equation are represented by means of polynomials of finite degree describing zeros of these solutions. For the case of solutions vanishing in the considered interval, new system of transcendental and integral equations is obtained.
