Abstract :
A TBD (Track Before Detect) method using multi-frame coherent integration is proposed to solve the shortcomings of the TBD method using non-coherent integration which cannot utilize the phase of target echoes effectively and has low accumulation efficiency. In this paper, a new echo model of a moving target is established for multi-frame coherent integration. The method utilizes Keystone transform to correct range migration, then corrects the Doppler spectrum migration using a method called “Dechirping”. Finally, multi-frame coherent integration is implemented for target detection. Simulation results indicate that the TBD method using multi-frame coherent integration can detect the weaker target more effectively, and get a higher detection probability than the TBD methods using noncoherent integration.
