Abstract :
A new automatic bridge detection scheme is proposed for SAR images. The proposed algorithm is based on double-step CFAR detector and river extraction method. The double-step CFAR detector is used to find bridge candidates. The river area is extracted using the global threshold. And then the extracted river area is used to mask the bridge candidates which are not exist on the river area. Using real SAR image, the proposed bridge detection scheme is performed. The test results show good performance in complex environment.
