Abstract
This paper proposes UWB radar receiver architecture based on range gates. We analyze the detection probability of UWB radar based on range gates according to the timing jitter and ADC resolution for ITS. The UWB radar based on range gates consists of a transmitted part and a received part, and uses a coherent integration and coherent threshold detector. The system model is verified through analysis and simulation. The performance degradation of detection does not occur in UWB radar when the margin of the timing jitter is about 1/30ns, and the ADC resolution does not affect the detection performance when the margin of ADC bit is within 6 bits.
