Abstract
Noise radar uses random noise as the probing signal which can obtain high resolution and go around some drawbacks in conventional pulse, CW or FM radars. In this paper, the selection criteria for random signal are discussed and the characteristics of several noise radar signals are analyzed and compared. And two signal processing methods in noise radar: correlation processing method and spectral interferometry method are studied. In addition, some issues related to capabilities and constraints of noise radar technology in microwave imaging application are discussed.
