Abstract :
A radar imaging method which combining stepped frequency chirp signal (SFCS) processing and chirp scaling imaging algorithm to achieve high resolution in both range and azimuth direction is introduced. We use Chirp Scaling algorithm to process the sub-pulses of the same ordinal in each SFCS burst to form a series of low range resolution 2D images and then synthesize the images in frequency domain to realize high range resolution. This approach is verified by simulations as well as experimental results.
